other than a few minutes here and there of his clips popping up on my feeds, i didn't listen to charlie kirk much. i mean, mainly because i did think he was kind of irritating to listen to because he was a bit of a smart aleck. but the thing that did stand out was, especially at the end of the conversation he had with those kids where he could see they actually were genuine in their discussion, he would make it known that his intention was not to think for them, rather help them to think for themselves. and to not just take what the professors were trying to jam down their throat as the gospel. i did a year of college and i know how the professors are. i'm just happy i was there before the trump years, because i think trump really acclerated the all in nature of politics.

i mean, trump is saying things that democrats said just a decade ago, and now democrats have to say the opposite. it's silly really and i don't understand how a person can just act like it didn't happen. or when democrats use lawfare, but complain when trump uses it. for the life of me, it's just makes me lose hope that the country is that stupid.

as far as the democrats that got killed up in Minnesota, i realize that it wasnt quite the news coverage, but it was covered quite a bit. and while i'm sure you can find some examples of some far right wackos praising the deaths, i would bet for every one of those you find, i can find 100 wackos praising charlie kirks killing. so, i think that's why the expanded discussion is being had about the current issue.

So this asshole actually thought the U.S., which has 1.9 million people locked in jail, a larger percentage of the population than ANY other country, more than Rwanda, more than Communist China, more than Soviet Russia, actually should be doing more locking people up???!!!???!!!???

Not sure what you mean by the "just move out" dig. If you mean that because I'm an immigrant who dares to criticize the government, I should "go back where I came from," you can stuff that in your tailpipe. I've been in this country 57 years, I'm a naturalized citizen, I have (miraculously) avoided a criminal record despite some misdeeds, I'm gainfully employed, and my taxes are up-to-date.

Or if you meant that I should have "just moved out" of my parents house back in the day, well of course I tried, but the cops kept bringing me back. Plus there were a couple times where I had litterally nothing to eat and I (am ashamed to admit) came back voluntarily. Anyway, I started running away when I was 13, finally left for good when I was 17. The first three years the cops always dragged me back. Alleged Charlie Kirk assassin's roommate 'shocked' by shooting, has been 'very cooperative,' governor says

Updating the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination Sunday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that the suspect was in a romantic relationship with his roommate, who is cooperating with authorities.

“What we have learned specifically is that this person did not have any knowledge, was shocked when they found out about it,” Cox said of the roommate.

That person “is a boyfriend who is transitioning from male to female,” Cox said, misgendering the roommate. Cox was confirming earlier reporting from Fox News.

The roommate has been “very cooperative,” Cox said.

That tracks with what a federal official close to the investigation told NBC News on Sunday.

There still is “not a solid understanding” of how the personal relationship factors into the attack, the official said.

Asked on CNN how the roommate’s transitioning was relevant to the suspect’s motive, Cox said, “That’s what we’re trying to figure out right now.”

“It’s easy to draw conclusions from that, and so we’ve got the shell casings, other forensic evidence that is coming in and trying to piece all of those things together,” Cox said.
