Had a chat with Shoop, we will aim for the Poly Championship for September.

Does anybody have any suggestions with regards to the ongoing 1v1 Championship and it's format? Anything we can do better?

Well id assume the tourney organisers would do it as Lindax asked anything we can do better. Id be happy to write a bit of copy towards it.

I like Clanlord Carl's suggestion, something small like that would be just positive for everyone, and @shoop76, and if help is needed I would lend a hand for sure.

I would also like to say I have enjoyed this championship so far, and the auto tournament have worked great, me and shoop had a scare when the first eliminations came, but he found out the reason fast.
But if there is something I would like for the poly championship, then it would be better descriptions on the AutoTournament page, I still do not know what the tiebreaker is, I think I asked a couple of times, but never got an answer.

9: Round 4a (1 Points per Game): 32 Start, Round Robin, 32 Move On, Games: 2 Players, Standard, Random Map, Incl. Trench More
10: Round 4b (1 Points per Game): 32 Start, Round Robin, 16 Move On, Games:

And it would also be nice to know how many games there was in each round, its ok from round 11, but before that we kind of had to guess, atleast before Round 1A 2A etc.

Tie break is speed of wins. If you won your games in less rounds than the other person on the same number of wins as you, then you are above them

Correct and that is site rules that are built and can't be changed for each tourney.

I would say the points needed will probably be 51 or 52 to get to top 16, I would be actually be really surprised if someone does not advance with 53 points.

13 players on 54 points already...54 will be the cut i think maybe even a few of those wont make it. Looking forward to the round of 16 !

Just some thoughts here.

- BW wants to try and finish each event within a year. I think for poly this is virtually impossible.
- I think we need 3 rounds for every cutoff. 1 for poly 2,3 and 4. I think doing a mix will prolong the event even more.
- How many games to start? 7 per roiund? 9?
- 128 players --> straight down to 64 and then 32 after 6 rounds.
- Then we go to the bracket stage with 32 players and a mix of poly type.
- But even the first bracket round I think we need a minimum of 15 games. I that too much for poly at once.

Please guys, discuss this because otherwise Lindax and I will have to throw something together and if people are unhappy with the format it will be too late to change things.

I think randomly doing like 7 or 9 games and mixing with 2/3 Poly 2, 3 Poly 3, 2/3 Poly 4 or something like that?

I personally like poly 3 and 4 more than 2, for reduced random (a big part of why I like poly). But balancing it out in some way might be preferred by others. I also think Trench + escalating should be a combo that is avoided/unable to spawn if possible, but I wouldn't want to keep trench and escalating from being possible to mix in other ways.

Edit: rethinking the mention of it taking longer, I understand what you mean. If you mix quads through three rounds, then all rounds are likely wajiting on those quads games. But I think MORE important than that will be avoiding trench escalating.

Settings would likely need to be random, meaning if you include escalating and trench in the possibilities it would be unable to avoid it popping up from time to time.

I'm assuming you know something wrong has happened, as I just had about 140 games launch all at once.

Yeah, 133 games. 7x 19 instead of 19. There goes the summer holiday.

I was about to complain, would be nice to get some kind of notice before starting soooo many games. But I see it was not supposed to be that many.

I have asked BW and KA if the games can be deleted. I must have coded the auto tournament incorrectly. I am really sorry about this guys.

I just started playing, thought it was a bit much, then saw 135!
I cannot possibly play them all, so I'll leave them be

Damn and ill winning all but five....huge numbers lets the better players demonstrate their metal. Joking aside a full deletion would be fairest. Otherwise ill beat everyone up....133 easy stuff.

Would be nice to have confirmation about this. Don't want to miss in 140 games if they actually stay.
It's pretty much guaranteed we won't have to play them right?

Or if you can just confirme that these games wont count towards the championship. Then we can just skip a lot until you know for sure if games can be deleted =D>

they are deleting them at the moment, it seems like it takes some time, but there are fewer and fewer games each time I check my games, so its probably all good soon

Glad to hear they are being deleted. On a normal weekend I could probably make it work but traveling to visit friends so unable to. Nor would I want to anyway!
