Votanic - regarding my voting I have decided on the following;

I am going to vote for someone early each day I am alive - because its in my self interest to do so.
My early day vote will be based on who I then think is most likely to be a werewolf - and I intend to give my reasons for doing so.
I've decided I probably won't change my vote during that day even if there is a convincing argument for doing so - my logic for that is that if there is a convincing argument other players should be able to see it too.
I'm more likely to weigh in on the arguments in the first instance if I think there is a persuasive argument that someone is a wolf.
I might as a last resort change my vote in the interests of town if I feel there is a slamdunk convincing argument and other players just don't seem to get it and look like they are on the verge of doing something completely wrong.
(That means if there is evidence that later in the day emerges that my vote was wrong that in itself won't cause me to change it)

Fair enough, any thoughts on who should confess?

At the moment I'd have a slight preference for Sonic to confess.
I think he is playing a bit more subdued (I know thats hard to believe) than in the previous game I have played with him.
Although my best guess at present is that Sonic has an ambiguous role of some kind.
But I still don't think he'd be able to resist the nature and volume of his posts in this game if he was Werewolf.

If Sonic is village I will say this for him - some of his ideas will be good - its just so difficult to work out which are good and which are just eccentric.

Its what I think is the more subdued nature that makes me suspect probably ambiguous but after that as equally likely to be werewolf as town.

Just kidding. He seems to be (mostly) behaving himself this game.

Or is that his scum-tell? :-k

Unvote

Oh thank God. Someone that's funny and experienced.

So the 2 votes on me plus the red text. Not sure if i should treat that as a hostile vote meant to confuse town or just someone trying to pick off the experienced players, giving Ramens demise.
Also curious if whoever placed that vote can vote again during the day. I'm not seeing seeing anything publicly that says otherwise. I'm in the line of thinking that this is possibly scum Sonic if I have to think like a scum Sonic.

Eh why not. Vote Sonic

Look until now we only have very weak wolf reads (and that is even on the players that are posting, im not even talking about the very silent ones). Until now, In the posts that were made you can see whatever you want -just like in the shadows of a fireplace- and scummify almost anybody but in the end it's just a 3/16 chance you will hit a wolf..

Sofar we had only 2 defining moments:

1) The "DDS DIVE" (im sure everybody saw it and im pretty sure this is the reason why he got his 2 votes overnight).
2) The "Strike gold" magician act.

The second was very good for town but DDS knows he has a problem so he wants to deflect it.

Is that Why you are voting me DDS? Or Is it something i said about The Actor using The Sheriff card? Hmmmm?

Day 2, so far

Ragian was killed. We quarreled early on Day 1, but I seemed to have gained some trust from him after strike's confession.
I wish I knew exactly how he was killed by wolves.
• Was he the only target? ...or does the Big Bad Wolf exist and did he attempt a double killing?
• If two kills were attempted. It seems likely that I would have been the other target.
• If so, was I protected by the player with the Defender role?
• Presumably, the Big Bad Wolf, if he is in the game, can only use his double kill power once.

DDS has 2 anonymous lynch votes (The M.O. fits the Scandal Monger role - is the accusation based on intel, a hunch, or a vendetta?)
Pixar has 1 vote from Loose Canon (It's the Barkeep vote, and L.C.s stated reason is Pixar thinks he is scum...)
Sonic has 1 vote from DDS (The stated reason seems to be some variant of 'Sonicspicion', particularly the possibility the Sonic is the Scandal Monger)
Two points about this:
• The idea that Sonic is the Scandal Monger is amusing/intuitive, but with roles being randomly assigned...it would be quite a cooincidence.
• Could DDS and Sonic be two wolves 'play-fighting' to throw the scent off each other? Again, an explanation that seems too convenient.

EW did renew my power for which I am thankful...
Does this mean EW is Town? No guarantee, he was in a situation where if he was a wolf and refused to use his power he would likely be the next lynch or vig...

Player Reads (Leaving the Dead off the list)
1.DirtyDishSoap - Now the sheriff (Still don't get why he was allowed to decide the tie...). Lots of kidding and showmanship. It brings attention. Maxleod voted fo his lynch Day 1 and Ewebasher seemed ernest that he should be made to confess... More drama today.
3.Charle - His play is similar to how it was early in the Thing: occasional, 'Townish', practical reads, though now more cautious with making lynch votes.
4.Votanic - A good soul trying to walk in the path of rightousness, in a world filled with devilish evil and deceit.
6.Extreme Ways - He's a good player, so his odd communication on Day 1 truly worried me. He would be an asset, if town.
7.Swang918 - The Barber role is a wonderful asset for town, and swang does seem Townish. In fact, if we do find another 'safe bet' wolf to lynch, I would prefer to have swang make the kill to prove his townishness. If we had time to plan it, he could have killed strike...
@ The Defender: Tonight please use your power to protect swang. After today, he will be more valuable to town than myself.
8.Devante - A new player with a public power that hopefully will never need to be used. His shock about strike's confession seemed almost overplayed, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt,. After all, a Mafia game can lead even an experienced player into fits of paranoia.
9.Maxleod - Made the first lynch vote of the game (a joke?) but later quickly switched to lynching strike. Nothing stands out as scummy, but who knows?
10.*Pixar* - led the drive to make DDS sheriff, suspicious of L.C. because of his heavy support of strike on Day 1.Again, nothing stands out as scummy, but who knows?
11.SoN!c - Maybe his playstyle is slowly improving, but is this from self-discipline and self-awareness, or just the knowledge that he'll get instant flack if he pulls his usual crap. Believe it or not, I am not trying to spar or scrape with him, but order must be maintained for the good of Town... All this assumes he is even Town. One of these games he will be Scum (Is it this one?) and then we will really be glad that we learned to always watch him like a hawk.
12.Ewebasher - He is active for a new player. Something I am grateful for, regardless of his alignment. He wanted DDS to confess on day 1. Did he know something or was it just a reaction to DDS's playstyle?
13.mpolo - A new player and very quiet. (Maybe there is a gameplay reason for this?) He showed up for the sheriff vote as a favor to Sonic, but he is a gamer, and as he learns Mafia he will know that there are no friends within the game, only evidence. (maybe in RL too, if I want to be very cynical...)
14.Loose Canon - His public role doesn't do much except protect himself, but that doesn't mean he isn't town... It doesn't mean he is either.
15.Thor60 - the exact same thing as I wrote about mpolo.
16.Parked - Quietest player by far. Wait has he even posted? Is this extreme stealth or extreme boredom? Speaking outside my role, I will invite him to engage. Just say something wild, be it sincere or duplicitous. If you measure it in millisonics, you have a long way to go before it becomes a problem.
17.Degaston - A good player, Glad he is on board and I do hope he is Town.
18.Fusibaseball - Quiet, but not excessively so. His comments and votes don't seem scummy at all... Again, that is not proof of Town, but it is a good sign.

The only slightly scummy reads from me are:

EW, sorry you may be town, but as Vot has said we could have finished Day 1 with some planning/barber kill of strike which would only have benefited us but you made the decisive vote very quickly to end the day

Loose, defended strike (but in his defence was before the confession and do we know that scum knew scum before night 1?)

I was in favour of getting confession from the sheriff-elect (whoever that may have been and I was slightly randomly voting DDS as I had absolutely no read on him, Pixar or Son at the time, and still don't to be honest)

I got no problem by being watched as a hawk, as long you look a bit like an owl at others too..hawks are asleep during the night and we need to catch nocturnals.. The idea that me and DDS are both wolfie 'play-fighting' each other to throw the scent off with just 3 wolves left? To convince you: Surely -if we were both wolves- at least DDS would be smarter than that?

The big question at hand here is: was there 1 wolf target or 2? The rulebook says the BBW can kill a second victim each night until another wolf is slain. ("Each night he wakes up a second time as long no werewolf, wildchild or villagehound has been eliminated"). So this could mean by killing the AFW it could very well be you killed the BBW's ability to kill twice aswell..

Page 8 of the rulebook.

Me? Smarter? I'm about as drunk as Deve here. I'm just using my pure clairvoyance to pick out scum since I have no strong reads other than President Regeans death. I think if anyone would kill Roganien, it'd be Sonic. About it.

I voted DDS for sheriff first - he was very happy and he looked forward to become sheriff- see the image he posted:

Image

Then came the part the sheriff elect would need to go to confession.. what resulted in DDS diving the sheriff position faster then a WWII Douglas SBD Dauntless (dive bomber) to avoid it.

After all, Very quickly he said that would be a waste of the confession power - BUT he also voted for the other favorite for the job (Pixar) at the same time to ditch the job..

Resulting in DDS looking like a Dive Domber Scout plane

Sonic - in the Tick game you said you liked to leave breadcrumbs as to your identity - and you did.

Care to comment on whether that is the case in this game?

Ofcourse, anything to keep the bartender happy. Might score a free drink by doing it, you never know.. or do i better act drunk like DDS did to avoid it? :D

So to answer: no, it's not the case here. No breadcrumbs.. But only for a very simple reason: im just a town villager. Otherwise i probably would have done so by now.

Image

Also im not fond of placing blind 3/16 lynch bets so first we should decide if we wanna use the last confession power on any player or just on powerroles alone ?
