If they want to kill him, they're gonna have to spend a night doing it. I see what you're going for, but in my experience Occam's Razor prevails. There are most likely infinite possibilities, but if we cook some up based on nothing, it muds the thread more than it helps.

If no better option presents itself soon (given that I can't see a better option right now), I will be voting for Pix later today. I think he started out badly by accusing Dunk for pregame stuff. I think his coming clean was a mess. I also find his back and forth with Duke and Dega (and to some extent Fusi) to reek of "survival at all cost". That indicates not town. Town knows that town can win even if you die. Finally, I would be anxious about having a 3rd party role running around with a shank.

Would it make sense for mafia to target pixar though who had already had quite a lot of heat? Not really.

I don't like the Pixar vote because I think Duke's lies were more significant, and it took much more effort to get him to come clean about them. I think there's a big difference between not carefully reading & understanding a passive action vs making up some BS about a note and then sticking to it for days. Besides that, Duke's claimed role seems ridiculously overpowered - Mod confirmed information of anything you want to ask, potentially twice a day? Then there's his inconsistent use of success/failure to explain why he never got his "day power". Aside from that, though I don't know whether pixar is Town or 3rd Party, I feel comfortable that he is not Mafia. I can't say the same for Duke.

I didn't want to say this because it's very WIFOM, but the fact that there are several people focused on pixar's "lies", while no one seems very concerned about Duke's makes me think that I'm right about him. If scum knew he was not one of them, I feel like there would have at least been a few comments to put pressure on him when I was trying to dig through the inconsistencies. On Sunday, there was only a single post (Duke continuing to deflect my questions) over a period of over 24 hours. I checked everyone in the game, and aside from a few who showed no "Last visited" time, everyone had logged in. I know this isn't conclusive, but since he has claimed to have said everything about his role, I think he should at least make a full claim with his role name.

Finally, fusi's deal with Duke is worthless. If Duke is scum, then he can claim that fusi is town (whether he is or not), and then claim that he now has a day power. We then find someone to lynch, and Duke can correctly identify their alignment (because he knows who the scum are and wants to "confirm his power"), or claim that scum is town, possibly saving them for another day. Now we've potentially gone through two lynches based on what scum is telling us. And potentially "confirmed" a couple of scum as town.

I don't see another option than to stick with "lynch all liars", and lynch Duke.

I don't like the JMac vote either. Yes, he's not contributing much, but Dukasaur has contributed even less, and never voted once.

I think it would be pretty cheap to get three mod-confirmed non-scum for the price of one. It's very difficult to confirm that someone is not scum while they're still alive. Saying that you're not scum counts for exactly nothing. Even things that are "confirmed" by another player, are not proof.

Having people that you can definitely trust is very valuable to the town, and no matter what Duke does, how can you really trust him?

But from someone who hasn't played before and looking at this objectively, I think the ones who talk the most and try to hard in the beginning look the most suspicious. That is why I voted Pixar. I have suspected him from day 1. I have other suspicions of others but will reserve my feelings on them until we see what Pixar is all about.
