Meanwhile, on a lighter note...

https://torontosun.com/news/world/principal-had-sex-sessions-with-phys-ed-teacher-while-his-wife-recorded-action

A Georgia elementary school principal and her phys. ed teacher lover have been kicked to the curb after lurid allegations they engaged in sex trysts on campus proved true

The couple’s hormone-charged hijinks were revealed after principal Dr. Dana Simmons told her bosses that PE teacher Dylan Charles had bugged her office.

For the cherry on top, he showed school board brass a photo of Simmons naked in her private school washroom, along with another picture of Simmons performing oral sex on a man in a car, and a video of the pair in action.

The principal then fired back with a photo of a shirtless Charles wearing a superhero cape. Simmons finally admitted the pair enjoyed a sexual relationship.

According to Simmons, it was Charles’ wife who arranged the sexual encounters. His wife allegedly watched while the duo had sex.

Wait…how did the board find out???

If the principal was having sex with the PE teacher… why would she tell the board that said PE teacher had put cameras in her office?

Maybe she got tired of living her life of sin and decided to throw herself on God's mercy.

Sorry, it's impossible to anticipate who will have access and who won't. I think I get three free articles a month from the Sun, and I don't read it often, so I accessed it for free.

If you find it interesting, you can probably find it on an American newspaper. Maybe even in greater detail.

because two people fucking and having a weird/inappropriate sexual relationship in some town no where near me is important?

The ONLY thing relevant to me from this story is pictures.

My kids don’t go to this school, I can’t vote for the school board, I don;t pay taxes to some town in Canada.

So yeah… pictures…

It wasn't some town in Canada, it was some town in Georgia. (The American Georgia, not the Transcaucasian Republic.)

Just because I got the story from a Canadian newspaper doesn't mean you couldn't have spent 10 seconds googling and finding a story from a newspaper down your way.

However, in actually Canadian news, the mayor of Toronto resigned in the middle of the night after the Toronto Star reported that he was fucking his secretary. Which is bizarre to me. What's the point of being mayor if you're not getting an extra piece of ass here and there?

For balance, I tried to get an American newspaper story about it. New York Times has it, but that's behind a paywall. So I clicked on a paper called PA Now, assuming it would be in Pennsylvania, but actually it turns out that the PA referenced is Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Oh well, I tried.

Tory was first elected mayor in 2014, partially on a promise to restore respectability to the office after the turbulent term of his predecessor Rob Ford, and had just been re-elected to a third term in October.

Some teachers fuckin’ in a crap ass town in Georgia has equal relevance to me as some teachers fuckin’ in a crap ass town in Ontario.

It’s really not that important (to me personally) even if it was the next town over…. unless I know the people or unless it affects my kids…. the only thjng that makes it interesting is the voyueristic aspect and/or pictures.

Yeah, if you're in the States you'll get American news sites far more readily in a Google search. Google thinks it knows what's best for us and tailors our results for what it thinks we'll find relevant. Sometimes it's right, but it's often wrong. Sometimes when I'm looking for a more direct perspective on something it's very frustrating. Even if I know that an event happened in Texarkana or whatever, and I put "Texarcana news" in the search parameters, it will still cough up nothing but Canadian and British websites.

There’s at least one post-apocalyptic book series I read where the country broke up into multiple countries… and one of the new countries is called Texarkana. :P

Is it also on a CC map?

The worst part is when you want to find the best chili burger place but instead, Google shows you the one that paid them for an advertisement.

You changed Google, you used to be cool.
