Can someone explain the difference between Street Corner and

I don’t understand why there is a sub chat called Street Corner.

It seems they’re the same.

The Mods just move shit around which makes it harder to follow some threads.

It seems dumb.

Street Corner was not just a sub forum, it was created to be topic purgatory.

When a thread is created that does not belong anywhere but is not deemed bad enough to be deleted yet, it gets moved to street corner for observation. Originally it was easier to find and you could go there to carry on.

I don't remember if it was because of a complaint or some other reason but Street Corner was kind of hidden and now at the main board menu you don't see a topic title preview for off topics, that is in case the last thread made or responded to is in Street Corner.

That was done to prevent unsuspecting folks clicking on it and accidentally ending up in there then getting upset or offended.

Limited amounts of flaming was allowed there but you cannot use the screen name of the member you are targeting in the thread title.

On occasion there would be guest moderators appointed for one month who could do what they wanted in there and also there is the street cleaner.

It's mainly so I don't have to be reminded I'm ignoring someone talking about the voice in their head.

At the time TeeGee started it, the moderators were still giving out temporary bans to people for things that are now ignored in this forum.

Isn't OT for dog whistle racists whereas Street Corner is for overt racists? Hence the latter having a rule stating racism can be used 'in the correct context'.

That rule was put in place so you could post rap song lyrics there without having to remove words.

Where as they created a specific rule here to stop several people from posting variations of a word in an attempt to be edgy.

It's different because of the spelling.

We still don't want it here.

Anytime they move a thread… just restart the thread in the regular OT list.
