Jim this is about a farmer who butchers meat and sells it commercially to 4000 'members'. He won't agree to do it under USDA requirements, I think one of the big issues is a requirement to use a preservative. The 'buyers' have signed docs saying they don't care it isn't USDA and still want to buy it. The Gov't position is the scale of this is too large and too commercial to not have any USDA regulations apply.

Farmer has a legit gripe, but this isn't something new. You still can't buy unpasteurized cheese in the USA ... would it make a difference in the courts if the cheesemonger is Amish? Absolutely not.

I honestly kinda agree with the buyers… provided they also sign documents agreeing that if they get sick from this, they will keep their assess out if hospitals so as no to be a burden on our healthcare system.

I don;t care too much if people want to take risks with their own lives… so long as those risks don’t negatively impact me.

I would generally agree with you, there is also some risk in the cows getting sick and spreading it to USDA commercial farms. I also believe if this farmer gave the meat away, as opposed to selling it this would suddenly not be illegal.

In spite of what you might have read in OPs manifesto, Biden didn't show up with a flamethrower to personally burn all the meat though... that's a job for the VP.
