Biden criticises 'unconstitutional' Supreme Court ruling

Postby bigtoughralf on Thu Jun 23, 2022 6:13 pm

After the totally neutral, non-poltical and free-from-government interference Supreme Court provided an objective legal decision on gun control laws, Joe Biden took to the airwaves to reject the court's decision and accused its judges of going against the US constitution:

I guess ol' Joe thinks the law is something that should serve politicians' political interests, rather than being the totally neutral and non-partisan thing it is!

Although I believe we as a country need better gun control and better regulations, especially in regards to limiting capacity and firing velocity, I do agree with the Court and BTR that this law was Unconstitutional.

It was too broad.

Better written legislation can have as much impact limiting concealed-carry. Other legislation, limiting access to require more intensive background checks… or limiting capacity/firing rate… this type of legislation is more likely to have an impact on the actual mass-shootings.

Of course, that’s all pie-in-the-sky and wishful thinking. Though we will likely get revised legislation from New York, we won’t see any national moves anytime soon.
