Excess cocaine doesn't seem great for some people too far passed their third decade. Maybe it just seems risky, because it was kind of shocking when a guy at work was thirty and one of his pals from high school that liked it had a heart attack.
Then I started paying a bit more attention when fairly young guys in bands die.
How often have you read or heard about, someone out playing shows being found in their hotel room, cause of death unknown. Later it's heart related.
Over all, too much whisky seems like the worst one on that list. Unless you want to make someone belligerent. Maybe over use just seems more noticeable because it's been legal most places for longest.
Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison all died at the age of 27 between 1969 and 1971. At the time, the coincidence gave rise to some comment,[12][13] but it was not until Kurt Cobain's 1994 death, at age 27, that the idea of a "27 Club" began to catch on in public perception
Scientific studies
A study published in the British Medical Journal in December 2011 concluded that there was no increase in the risk of death for musicians at the age of 27. Although the sampled musicians faced an increased risk of death in their 20s and 30s, this was not limited to the age of 27.[10][11] A 2015 article in The Independent also provided statistical evidence that popular musicians are not more likely to die at the age of 27.[23]
But at the peak of his career, on January 23rd, 1978, Kath died in a gun accident at the age of 31

A small town in rural Texas is reeling after a gunman opened fire at an elementary school on Tuesday, killing 19 children.
Two teachers were also among those killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, according to authorities.
Prior to opening fire at the school, the suspect also allegedly shot his grandmother, officials said.
The alleged gunman -- identified by authorities as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a student at Uvalde High School -- is dead.
