I question your middle statement. I find it so confusing that I cannot understand what you are actually saying specifically. It seems you want to imply that priests have an unnatural attraction for children.

Now 2dimes is approaching:
1) confusing statements with bad spelling and punctuation, like ConfSS;
2) misleading statements, like saxi;
3) however, the level of misleading statements does not approach the obfuscations issued by saxi.

Why all this animosity against priests? Yes, there were abuses by priests in the USA and Ireland and elsewhere. I never denied that. I assume that you mean Catholic priests, although you never stated that, as far as I recall.

From what I have read, the level of pedophiles among Catholic Priests is about the same as that for the general population. The real shame is that the Catholic Hierarchy 1) failed to effectively deal with and correct this issue; and 2) hid the problem from vulnerable families and especially the children. The result is that they created a HUGE issue. Then 3) they failed to acknowledge the SINS of a few and allowed ALL priests to be suspect of such atrocities. You seem to have fallen prey to that false impression that the Catholic priesthood is OVER-REPRESENTED by pedophiles.

I know a policeman and he works in Vice. He tells me that his stings for prostitution and for pedophiles have arrested ministers of all faiths as well as medical doctors on a fairly routine basis. No religion or occupation is immune to such behaviors.

As far as sarcasm, I am reacting to the language DDS frequently uses and how some of that language, hate, stories, and maybe sarcasm has led to DDS** getting banned at least once. I was reading something recently in this Forum and there was a suggestion that he was banned more than once.

JimBoston, you do not know me. Stop trying to analyze me with your very limited knowledge. I like a good joke and often use sarcasm in conversation. I often use levity and jocularity in my conversations, too.

I will give you credit in realizing that sarcasm is not easy to detect when reading typed communication.
