1. You do realize we have some of the long sentences and punishments to where it is impossible to climb out of? Once you're in that system, you're in, and unless you're upper middle class, you're fucked. So either be homeless and stay fucked or be a career criminal. Gee, great options. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Great options. I can 100% guarantee you, if these people were presented better options, drug free and a basic education, they wouldn't cause a problem.
2. Read again, genius. Im not saying prisons are overcrowded, I'm saying we have the
LARGEST PRISON SYSTEM IN THE WORLD, COMBINED WITH THE NEXT SEVERAL MODERN NATIONS. That's a massive stark difference to whatever you're thinking of.
