---------------Alec Baldwin was given a prop gun...He fired it around his Director and Cinema Photographer....Killing the Photographer and wounding the Director.....All guns are to be treated as if they are loaded,and should never be played around with.....The Assistant Director gave Baldwin the gun...There had been safety issues about the Movie Set for a week...Even a problem with the Gun in question...People walked off the set....There is supposed to be a Armoury person on set handling such weapons...Also a Prop Expert along with the Armoury person who gives the Actors the weapons and takes the weapons from the actors when the scenes are over.... Neither happened,maybe because they left the set...

POOR WORKMANSHIP ETHICS IN TODAY'S WOKE AMERICA.

You know, I put up with most of your rant without comment, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. The poor workmanship has nothing to do with anyone's waking state. People don't care about their work because their work doesn't care about them. All management wants is to squeeze more work out of people for less money. They don't give a flying f*ck that people are dropping dead from the stress.

I have this conversation with the other supervisors all the time. They're all moaning, "woe, woe, woe, the workers don't give a shit." To which I quite honestly respond, "why should they?" Every time we tweak the rules, we demand a little more work for a little less money. The workers know they're getting fucked up the ass, and their attitude reflects it.

My drivers that used to make $26/hour are now making $24/hour. Some of them are still seething about it. And that might sound like an 8% pay cut, but actually, after accounting for inflation, they've lost about 20% of the purchasing power of their paycheque over the last decade.

Hell, I'm a supervisor, but after adjusting for inflation, I make less money now than I did 40 years ago when I was just a labourer.

That's all you right-wingers think about, how to stick it to the working man, a little harder and a little deeper every year. You've made it so that most jobs, even some of the shitty minimum-wage jobs, require university degrees, and you've jacked up the price of university to the point that nobody except the very rich can afford it. The rest have to take on six-digit debt loads just to enter the workforce. Then another five-digit debt to be able to drive to work, and another six-digit debt to live somewhere, and ultimately you have some people who are a million dollars in debt before they get their first paycheque.

Meanwhile basic things that used to be free have ludicrous user fees. Sanitation used to be considered an important part of maintaining a civilization, now it's no longer a right but a privilege. Want to hook up to the sewer system? $1880, cash up front, no credit. That's not counting the actual cost of running the pipe, that's just the fee for getting the paper from city hall that lets you run the pipe. Can't afford $1880? Too bad, so sad. Go shit in a box and keep it under your bed.

You've exported all the good jobs to Malaysia, and you won't be happy until the ones you can't export pay the same as the ones you did. Have everybody making fifteen cents and hour and working a fifteen hours day for a grand total of $2.25, before deductions. And then you'll complain that the workers no longer give two fucks.

Correct everything? NO, you had 12 errors in that ONE post and I only pointed out the MOST egregious mistakes. I was contemplating how to respond to your post and the more I thought of what you said and what you meant, the more my eyes and head hurt. Those mistakes were THAT BAD.

I am not sure the actions of (apparently) one sailor should be an indictment of the entire US Navy and its work ethic. I have read elsewhere that the Navy is understaffed and that many guys and gals are working close to or up to 70 hours a week on many ships.

What concerns me is that training needed for "woke" stuff takes time away from other important things. (one article below)

Also, to scrap a $1B ship due to (apparent) arson is a terrible waste. This guy (assuming he is found guilty) needs to made to work the rest of his life in Prison to help pay for some of that. Likely any labor this guy does will not even pay for the INVESTIGATION. And forget paying the legal bills; those may approach or even exceed $1M.

I agree that younger generations do not work as hard as those who came before, BUT if I rant on that, I will sound like the old men I used to ignore when I was in my 40s, JUST after my incarnation.

A 20-year-old US Navy sailor has been identified as the prime suspect charged with starting a fire that destroyed the USS Bonhomme Richard warship in 2020.

A newly unsealed search warrant shared by US media claims seaman Ryan Sawyer Mays had a grudge against the Navy. Mr Mays has denied any wrongdoing.

Three firefighting stations on the amphibious warship were also possibly sabotaged, according to the warrant.

The fire injured 40 sailors and 23 civilians in San Diego, California.

It began on 12 July 2020, and took four days to contain. The Navy has since decided to decommission and scrap the ship due to the damage.

The suspect - who is named in the warrant as Mr Mays but has not been identified by the Navy - faces charges of aggravated arson and wilfully putting a vessel at risk.

Mr Mays was arrested following a ten-hour interview with investigators. He repeatedly denied starting the fire. When investigators said he had been spotted in the area before the blaze, Mr Mays suggested he was being setup, the warrant states.

Mr Mays enlisted in 2019. He joined a gruelling 24-week course designed to develop Navy Seals, but dropped out five days after training began. He was then reassigned to the USS Bonhomme Richard.

The search warrant alleges Mr Mays "showed disdain towards authority and the US Navy".

The 40,000-ton, $1bn (£716m) USS Bonhomme Richard was commissioned in 1998 and was one of the few vessels from which an F-35 Joint Strike Fighter could take off.

The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Gen Mark Milley, defended the study of critical race theory in the military when pressed on the issue before the House armed services committee, saying he wanted to “understand white rage”.

Critical race theory is a longtime academic concept centered on the idea that institutions in the US inherently create economic, political and social inequities between white people and people of color.

Michael Waltz, a Republican representative from Florida and a former Green Beret, raised concerns of critical race theory being included on a syllabus at West Point.

“This came to me from cadets, from families, from soldiers with their alarm and their concern at how divisive this type of teaching is that is rooted in Marxism, that classifies people along class lines, an entire race of people as oppressor and oppressed,” said Waltz.

Milley defended the curriculum and said: “I’ve read Mao Zedong. I’ve read Karl Marx. I’ve read Lenin. That doesn’t make me a communist. So what is wrong with understanding, having some situational understanding about the country for which we are here to defend?”

He said reading about political theories, and fostering open discussion could lend to understanding the more recent violent events in the US, and creating an environment of anti-extremism in the military.
