Favorite Ape?

What's your favorite ape? I've intentionally omitted humans from this vote. I've also omitted mrswdk.

I'm going to have to go with Chimpanzee. Though that's a tough choice. I quite like them all except Bonobo.

I'm the opposite. I like them all except Chimpanzee.

I've been into orangutans but lately I've gotten into gibbons.

Maybe I watched too much B.J. and the Bear.

I guess Clyde was ok, for a ginger.

I don't know what any of this is.

Orangutans seem to be the most thoughtful and polite of the apes.

Chimps may be nice to their handlers when in captivity, but when in the wild they treat other members of their own family like shit.

Yeah, my understanding is that Bonobos are basically Chimps but without the tendency to rip off the fingers and genitals of people who aren't their handlers.

Wrong movie....

The “Every Which Way but Loose” series... https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077523/

The chimp in BJ and the Bear was named “Bear”.

Right turn Clyde.
show

Edit: I never even noticed the fast post by Jim ignoring the fact I liked the chimpanzee better than Clyde.

So, is he saying Bear was not the reason I like Chimps better?

Follow up. Is anyone surprised Saxi never watched either show? Probably didn't run in East Germany back then.

I just watched part of the pilot episode of the television series with the chimp, which by now, no one is confusing with mr. Eastwood's theatrical trilogy that had an orangutan anymore, yes?

Edit 2:

Saxi is educating me here. I thought the Bonobos were the violent ones. I guess I was just blending their Joe Rogan stories with his mean chimp stories. The Bonobos seem to just be like free love hippies.

Your comment has two separate ideas and they are separate sentences, so it’s technically it a violation of any rules.

However you give the reader no clue that you’ve finished one idea and started a new one... nor do you never specifically compare Chimps to Orangutans. How is the reader to know you prefer chimps. It’s perfectly reasonable assume you’re convoluting the two different stories.

Perhaps if you want to avoid further confusion you should learn to write. They have adult learner courses online for free I’m sure.

so you're not the opposite.. I am since I voted bonobos. those things f*ck and f*ck and f*ck all day anything. chimps are freaking agressive creatures.
I didn't know gibbons were counted as apes. I would personnally remove gibbons from that list, they did not quite make it.

As I said in the OP, mrswdk is not eligible to be voted on in this thread. So should I remove bonobos?

I checked and they're Lesser Apes (i.e. not Great Apes).
