Glastonbury

So the nearly annual pilgrimage to Worthy Farm for a long weekend of hedonism Somerset style is on us. I for one shall be absent from CC for the next week or so getting busted up good and proper in a field and then trying to re-integrate back into society afterwards...

Who'll be joining me on the Pear Cider?

It's perry ... there's no such thing as pear cider.

Couldn't afford it this year but fully intend to go next time round 8) along problem is it's the week directly after Sonar in Barcelona (electronic music festival) so if I do go, I might well break my brain ....

Maybe but Perry sounds way too posh for Somerset... and anyway the Brothers Bar calls it Pear Cider - http://www.brotherscider.co.uk

Wikipedia quite clearly states it's perry.

And wikipedia is god (in relation to information)

I've been to Leeds for the last 5 years... Good stuff but a bit mental and that, but fun! And anti-drug crowd won't approve (and anyone with common sense really) but I found 20 pills and a gram of coke on the floor last year with a couple of mates and had the best day of my life! Dizzee Rascal then Bedouin Soundclash.

It wouldn't be a festival without a random find... Glastonbury 3 years ago I found a quarter of black under my butt sat up the stone circle at 8AM Sunday morning, awesome!

Sad to hear you couldn't get a ticket, I've got quite a few mates who are in the same boat, I got lucky and a friend got through on the net and bought ours for me. Just pot luck. I reckon they may do a lottery style selection process soon, with maybe a guarantee for tickets if you miss out on 3 in a row or something, bit like the marathon.

Yeh it did suck. The worst thing was finding out afterwards that once you got through once you got a cookie to automatically get through again so people were logging back on and buying multiple tickets for all their mates!

Yup, I know a guy who bought nearly everybody I know who is goings tickets. I guess they have to do it to ensure that the the people who start the transactions actually get to finish them after all the duplicates they had two years ago. I still think it sux tho...
