Interesting the BBC talks to a couple black Americans and then just assumes all black Americans share the same view.
I was at a Barbershop yesterday, which has both black and white barbers and a diverse clientele.
While there the subject of George Floyd came up and a few of us were talking about it.
I didn’t participate much as I was on the other side of the counter and my mask hampered my ability to project my voice.
It was mostly two black guys talking with me and my barber (a black man) making comments.
In the shop at the time we’re 5 black guys (age 30something to 40something) and 3 white guys (age 30something to 50something).
The MAIN POINT of the (black) guy who initiated the subject was that he was disgusted by the protestors who were looting and burning stuff, because he thought it was a distraction and lost ‘support’... basically what I have been saying. The barber (a black guy) to whom he was talking agreed, though he was more focused on the murder of George Floyd. They both agreed the looting was wrong and that the death of George Floyd was a murder. Neither seemed scared.
My sample size seems as statistically valid as BBC’s.
