JW Pepper is pretty awesome.

Boris "I am Invincible" is pretty classic too though.

You hit pretty high standards with JW pepper saxi. He’s been a long time favorite.

I nominate Christopher Walken as the most disturbing vilain btw

Crap so after taking a closer look... 9 appearances of felix leiter, 8 different actors. One that repeated was replaced by other felixes between his two bond movies. That is the dumbest thing ever. This has just ruined the whole saga. I had never noticed each time there is a CIA guy he's supposed to be the same one as the actor is never the same and the name doesn't pop (like jw pepper does for example) It's like if we never had Q or M continuity.... moneypeny kind of changes way too much. The original Q is definitely the guy with the most apearances ever, probably just ahead of roger moore as number 2

In the books Felix Leiter is a main character. Bigger than Q.

True, but all the Felix Leiters are unremarkable.

As far as I recall, though, we never see Felix Leiter doing Bondish-stuff. He always struck me as sort-of a clerkish civil servant who just materialized anytime Bond needed information, money or muscle and then arranged for it. Maybe DY can say if he's the same way in the novels, though.

Like IIRC Felix Leiter arranged for the attack on Fort Knox to "succeed" to ensnare Goldfinger --- still one of the best Bond action sequences IMO.

I think Felix Leiter must pop more to an Anglophone ear than J.W. Pepper does to a Continental ear.

Never been a fan of the films, but I seem to remember that Leiter was a noticeable character in the books.

Incidentally, noticing that there are multiple "Leiter" actors when there have been seven Bonds, not including the multiples in Casino Royale is odd.

there might be 7 bonds, but there is probably around 25 movies or more over 60 years or so, so obviously the actor had to change quite a bit. Of course there should have been a few Leiter actors, what is not normal is that basically he has been different in every single appearance, even when he appeared in consecutive bonds or same era bonds.... while Q, M, moneypenny and such have had a continuity... if felix leiter is like his best friend in the books and a valuable support on the field when things get nasty, he could ve been incarnated by just 3-4 actors not a different one each time. I'm pretty sure most people never noticed each time there is a CIA guy helping, he's supposed to be the same character

Leiter, Moneypenny and Q have been the same actors in all the Daniel Craig movies, although now you mention it it is odd how they changed most of the cast between Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig and yet M remained the same (Judi Dench).

Leiter's been in pretty much every Daniel Craig movie and has always been played by this guy:

It's just a CIA thing. Jack Ryan is played by 4 actors in 5 movies. Beethoven is played by 13 actors in one movie (and let's not count the sequels).

This guy has a name...

Jeffrey Wright

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0942482/

Best known probably for Hunger Games? He was good in West World too on HBO.
Apparently playing Gordon in the next Batman movie.... which is interesting because I thought it was a prequel.

Also going be “The Watcher” but that’s animated I think.

I think Jack Lord would have been a magnificent Felix Leiter if they would have written the role big enough for him.

Unfortunately the writers didn't want a second major character to compete with the glorification of Bond, so they always made it a bit part and Jack wouldn't play along.

Interesting to think what might have been.

If you’re gonna post a picture, it’s kinda polite to give his name.
