Secondly, it would have been my father-in-law's 94th too. Back when he was 80, he was invited (along with others who were born on the same day as the Queen and still surviving) to a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
JIm has been dead several years now, though in truth we lost him somewhat earlier to the fog that is Alzheimer's. In the end, he didn't recognise his own family.
Finally, and most personally, it's my 30th wedding anniversary today. A somewhat subdued celebration due to the current circumstances, but my son and granddaughter (not to mention the other member of that small family) are still in quarantine with us. They have a new apartment now, and should be able to move in at the end of the month.
The curlson made (an attempt at) croissants for an anniversary breakfast.

Congrats on the Anniversary.
Not sure why you think the Queen’s Birthday is more important that your Anniversary.
If I had to rank their importance to me, your anniversary would be higher.

The best part about this was how, after the blowback, he said it was his 11 year-old daughter's idea and internet trolls ended up making a young girl sad.
So either (a) he stole his 11 year-old daughter's idea without giving her any credit, or, (b) he tried to dodge by throwing his 11 year-old daughter under the bus.

Call me a filthy monarchist if you like but I would definately go check that out. I know the food in England can suck but there had to be at least a couple decent snacks there. I'd rent or buy clothes for an event like that, if needed.
