Iraq Becomes the Canada of the Middle East

Postby saxitoxin on Sat Jan 11, 2020 1:01 pm

The United States has politely declined Iraq's invitation for it to withdraw its troops from the country.

President Trump has informed the Iraqi government that withdrawal will cost $35 billion which the U.S. will reimburse itself with from Iraqi treasury accounts currently held in the U.S. The United States also confirmed it would transit forces into and through Iraqi airspace at its leisure, and would not seek permission to do so.

Iraqis are, however, free to start an online petition on moveon.org if they don't like this arrangement. Once it's received one million signatures they can email the petition to spam@whitehouse.gov where it will receive the attention it deserves.

We never asked US troops to leave. Regardless of Internet morans fighting about our militaries having a fake rivalry we are still allies. If we could afford it we would have bought F-35s already.

Plus our guys love playing with the ground based toys they bring during war games.

The US openly admits it is happy to either illegally occupy Iraq without any permission from its government for them to be there, or they will comply with the request but will steal Iraqi money while doing so.

This comes as the US government has also declared that it plans to refuse (for no apparent reason at all) to return a fugitive to the UK after they killed a British child and then fled to the US.

And on the back of the US illegally assassinating a senior member of the Iranian government.

I wonder what happens next?

Like that Iraq would be way worse off if the US never went there?

The Iraqi government has dropped to its knees in front of President Trump; it has dutifully and obediently recanted its previous request for a troop withdrawal.

Iraq warns of 'collapse' if Trump blocks oil cash

The second official said it would mean the government could not carry out daily functions or pay salaries and the Iraqi currency would plummet in value.

"It would mean collapse for Iraq," the official said.
