To that extent I agree with you. It is sad that they've cloaked themselves in the mantle of philosopher kings and fought to undermine the people's will.
But two wrongs don't make a right. Removing people by thuggery doesn't make it all better.
I'm not saying the threateners in the story are necessarily right to have done the threatening, I'm just glad that the people who have consistently refused to learn their lesson (after the London riots, after Corbyn, after the Leave vote) are now starting to leave office. They had their chance to do something meaningful, they refused, they're gone.

I was cheering that they were driven out of office for being Remain Traitors. It's the strategy, not the tactics.
The word "traitor" is inflammatory and implicitly leads to the type of thuggery we are discussing. The punishment for Treason is traditionally death. If they were actually traitors, it would be reasonable to call for their deaths, but you know and i know that they are not. They are misguided people who are probably every bit as patriotic as you are; just with a different perspective of what that requires. They are driven by motives every bit as pure as yours.
Treachery and treason aren't the same thing. A traitor is just someone who betrays someone or something.
'Representative democracy' has always been at least 50-60% an empty propaganda slogan but the longer these people continue with their log jam the more of the public realise that. And if too many of them are made quite rudely aware of that, ultimately the whole system collapses in a big mess. These polliticians are betraying the principles of representative democracy and they are betraying the welfare of the society they are supposed to be serving and protecting. Therefore they are traitors.
I find patriotism incomprehensible. I just don't want people intent on doing nothing but messing up this country to be in any position of power where they can do so. I hope Nicky Morgan's next job is emptying the bins on Blackpool seafront.
