Saying “the USA has no culture” and saying “Americans are uncultured”... these are two different things.
The first is just wrong, by definition.
The second is generalization to the point where it’s ridiculous and makes the person saying it sound dumb.

The word “cultured” is subjective, ambiguous, and ill defined.
In most cases when people say “Americans are generally an uncultured lot.” They really mean that a large percentage of Americans have little or no exposure to cultural experiences that Europeans (in general) give lip service to valuing.
First, I think that’s just wrong. Americans in general are probably more well traveled and more exposed to cultures different than their own than the average person on the planet.
Second, it becomes a matter or value and perspective.
The US is so big and is really not one culture but a group of various regional cultures. An Easterner going West and exposing himself to some time on a Dude Ranch, riding horses, hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.... he’s exposing himself to a different culture. No less so than a Polish person traveling to Spain is exposing himself to a different culture. Many Americans choose to experience the various American cultures instead of, before, or in addition to exploring other country’s cultures.
The point I’m making... you try to educate me to “not only see the American view”… and I’m trying to educate you to not discount the American view.
The fact that we seem loud, and in your face, and we are ‘everywhere’... this is because many people around the world want us to be, and consume our culture, our books, our music, out movies. If the world consumed less American culture maybe you all wouldn’t be so disdainful of it. It’s your own fault you eat it up.
Yes... if I eat a gallon of vanilla ice cream, I may bitch at the last bite that it’s gross or plain.... but no one made me eat the gallon.
This is the world’s relationship with American culture.
So if there’s nothing to it... drop your Netflix subscription and stop listening to R&B or Rock and Roll.
