Research uncovers internet's transphobia

Postby mrswdk on Fri Oct 25, 2019 4:43 am

Ground-breaking new research has single out online message boards as hotbeds of 'inhumane' transphobic abuse and bullying:

A study into online slurs used against trans people has identified the most commonly used terms of abuse.

Anti-bullying charity Ditch The Label and its analytics partner Brandwatch described the harassment as being "inhumane".

Other common transphobic themes of online posts included misgendering people - purposefully labelling somebody as a gender that they do not identify as.

Video-streaming sites and message boards were found to host the most transphobic abuse and the "least constructive conversation" about trans lives.

Why exactly would transphobia be a bad thing?

Which is more humane: enabling a friend's delusion or sickness or being truthful?

Well homosexuality is not normal, it’s deviant.
It’s one thing to tolerate homosexuality and transgenders, it’s something else to see them as normal. Just like being a bukake addict isn’t something normal, right mrs?

So, you're right thatGender dysphoria is a medical condition, but the cure is counseling to find out if gender reassignment will be helpful, not being yelled at on the internet.

What's wrong with being a bukake addict? I wish you wouldn't discourage this type of behavior, it's a direct attack against men imo.

Anyway believing in god is basically a mental disorder... You can't really call it deviant because so much of the worlds population is afflicted. But they say 2/3 of the world has some form of Herpes, so it isn't really deviant either(in the sense of the word as you are using it)... quite 'normal'
