FYI, I'm not spanish... Spain is not my country, and you are not qualified to understand the historical reality of catalonia within spain, nor how Spain was formed, nor that catalonia has had an independence life span throughout history of no more than 7 years; and that the spanish government has moved a lot of its industry to catalonia taken from other regions to be closer from europe. Just imagine you live in Ciudad Juarez, you are a honnest shop owner, who can barely make ends meet at the end of the month working 7 days a week because you have to deal with cartels asking for money, corrupt cops, murdered acquaintances and family... And you got cousins living in the US doing pretty good. You can't take your situation anymore and you put all your savings into passing that border. These people just want to survive and a better life, just like your immigrant ancestors that settled in the US not too long ago.
