They're there so if someone want to go back to an old thread, either for nostalgic reasons or because they have new data to add to an old discussion, they can do so.

Doing it without a good reason is mildly annoying. Just like all annoying things, we put up with a little of of, but push it too far and yes, you can get banned.

It was one of 2 living in my back yard. The other got whacked last week and my son used a shovel to get rid of it. At least 25 and probly more...damn things were huge....

not only does Koolabk go out and weigh the Dead Skunk in front of his house... ( probably checking to see if it would fit in his freezer.. ) he just left it there to rot.. which is going to be a lovely smell for weeks...
but I think we can all guess what Koolbak meant when he said "play with it"..

but of course koolbak only focuses on me "necro-Bumping" about 10-15 old threads.. when his 'Brother Nietz" Necro-Bumped about 50... which only can mean Koolbak thinks his "brother" Nietz is 3.5 times more Annoying, Stupid & Infantile.

I would like to know something, just a thought and thinking outside the “rules”, what is the point sanctioning a member to post on old thread? (Unless is just to bring a thread back without interest). Why not locking threads after the time considered “beyond” the rules if the site don’t like bringing “old light” back?
Or what is considered so bad to post on old thread when you could get old member to appears from age being out of the site?
Is it preferable to create more thread, duplicate thread, triplicate threads that takes more data overall?

No offense here just try to understand this rule...don’t reply “it is what it is, it is the rule, period” because this is not the reason of my post
