Now Amazon is responsible for the criminal actions of contract drivers.
"Both employers and employees share the positive and negative aspects and results of the behavior while working for or at the company. While the supervisor or manager may receive benefits for the good activity an employee completes, he or she is also accountable for the bad actions. This legal liability could lead to an investigation for criminal charges. Additionally, the company could become responsible for any injury to another person through the actions of the employee. This transferred liability leads to the employer paying for damages even when the company was not at fault in the situation."

If, however, the employee stole your car, they would not be. Looks to be somewhat different in the US according to that quote.

Civil and criminal law two different things.
Amazon would be held civilly responsible if the employee or subcontractor did something that caused a loss... say the employee or subcontractor ran over the dog, that would cause a material loss plus ‘pain and suffering’... so Amazon (or their insurance) might be on the hook for that.
Amazon (or some supervisor at Amazon) would only ever be held criminally responsible if they had some reason to suspect there was a likelihood that said act might occur... say if the employee or subcontractor had a history of bad acts and/or was suspicious in some way. Let’s say the delivery person came back to the warehouse with a different dog hanging out in the car a few times, and simultaneously there were news reports of missing dogs... then there may be some duty that would involve criminal negligence if the supervisor didn’t act.
Saying Amazon steals dogs in this case is just silly and to be expected from the OP.
It’s a half-truth that’s twisted and exaggerated to the point that it’s a lie.
Typical of the OP.

Duk... this trend/problem existed prior to Trump.
You can’t really honestly blame Trump for it.
... also it has nothing to do with the OP.
See NomadAss, this is how you have a balanced approach/view of the world.
Still doesn’t make your OP accurate.

It was a bit of correlational humour that made me chuckle.
Yes, I'm aware that people have been stealing since 5,000,000 BC.

Yeah, that's been rising steadily for 40 years, and the Tweedledum - Tweedledee rotation of your two pretend parties doesn't make much difference.
