I just got a new Motorola, because if any government is going to spy on me looking at boobs, listening to Faster Pussy Cat and going to the liquor store/fast food places on both sides of our unprotected border, I trust Uncle Sam.

Skipping the power ballad and other suck tracks was the super power that convinced me to early adopt CDs.

Oh yes of course, Chinese people are so sneaky they will do literally anything for a short-term profit. It’s the same reason as all their female staff are being pimped out against their will, and Huawei is secretly selling nuclear weapons to al-Qaeda.

I have no evidence for any of that, and it all seems incredibly unlikely, but China is evil so it’s probably true!

Your data is not being collected directly by the NSA. It is first being collected by Google, Apple etc. (commercial companies) and then harvested by the NSA and FBI. If you're worried about what would happen if Huawei sold your data then shouldn't you also be worried about Apple, Google etc. selling your data?

Still more worried about Huawei. I ‘trust’ Apple and Google more... yeah they’ll use my data... but I don’t think they’ll sell it to criminal organizations, I am concerned that Huawei might do this.

Maybe you're also concerned that Bank of China is taking money out of European customers' accounts and sending it straight to ISIS for them to buy bombs with?

Maybe. I don’t know.

Christ.

Trying to pull a Nomad?

I asked if you think Bank of China is stealing its customers money and giving it to ISIS and you responded ‘maybe’. There is no amount of context that could redeem that post.m

Folks, it’s time for a COMMIE HUNT. Let’s go pummel some reds like it’s 1959!

I didn't say it was uniquely Chinese behaviour.

Facebook sells our data to criminal organizations, and it's in the States.

So the actions of the US, Europe, Japan, etc... all directed against Huawei... this is all based on jealousy.

All the legal action and indictments have no merits whatsoever?

... yeah and if you don’t think the Bank of China funnels money to criminal organizations then you’re just not very bright.

You mean, Trump's politically motivated sanctions and Australia and NZ's decision to exclude Huawei from their 5G networks following intense US diplomatic pressure to do so? Yes, they have no merit.

No European countries have made any move against Huawei. The only reason any are even considering it is because Trump is trying to bully them into it, the same as Obama unsuccessfully tried to bully EU countries into staying out of the Beijing-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

Sanctions, investigations, and indictments predate Trump.

EU countries have made moves against Huawei.

Get your facts straight.

You may want to read the links I posted, good starting point.

Oh, you mean the one link you posted about how the US is claiming (but has been unable to prove) that Huawei has stolen IPR and is a security threat because China?

Conclusive proof that Huawei is a criminal enterprise stealing data and hated by governments the world over! A global backlash indeed!

So you don’t know how to read?

If you want to pay me I can do some more research from you.

One of the links had a 2 year history that listed actions taken by Great Britain, Canada, Australia, USA, Germany, and maybe some others.

Oh... but Russia is getting into bed with Huawei, so you KNOW they’re clean.

You posted two links that supported statements I have already made, and nothing more.

The US has been harassing Huawei, and in the course of doing so it has successfully pressured Australia, NZ and Japan into putting restrictions on Huawei. None of those four countries have ever provided any proof whatsoever that Huawei has done anything wrong.

Wait a minute....China is still a communist country?

No way! They have almost unregulated Capitalism. We love capitalism don't we?

We can trust Trump and his spineless supporters in the Republican Party will soon declare China as a close ally! Just like we did with Russia. God bless Capitalism with less RED TAPE!

The Indictments were issued in January. Do you actually think these cases would have worked their way through the court system in six months?

I mean, I WISH our court system would work that fast, but we know it doesn’t. Especially when you’re going after a big company with lots of money that will fight you tooth and nail till the bitter end. Likely these Indictments will never see a court because there will be some out-of-courts settlement.

Meanwhile Governments around the world are taking actions they can LEGALLY take to protect themselves and their citizens from the threat Huawei presents.

You can call it harassment all day... you’re just parroting what Huawei’s legal team is saying.

I’m confident that the governments of the US and other countries are not typically going to “go after” a company that is “completely innocent”.
It’s not smart and it’s not in our interest.

If you read the links I’ve posted you’ll see Huawei has...
- Violated Trade Laws
- Stolen Intellectual Property
- Created Illegal Backdoors to Steal Customer Info
- Illegally funneled funds to Iran in violation of US law.
(Yes, it’s US subsidiary is subject to US law.)

I could list more, but the two links I posted have all the info.

It wasn’t hard to find.

If you want you can even find the actual Indictments.

Or you can just cry that Huawei is being harassed and treated unfairly.

USG thinks it is in America's interest, because AMERICA FIRST BABY!!!

As the OP said, Huawei is lightyears ahead of any American companies in its 5G capabilities, its phone are better than iPhones while being far cheaper, and this is why Huawei recently overtook Apple to become the second biggest mobile phone company in the world (after Samsung). The US is just jealous and has decided to use Huawei as a bargaining chip in its wider jealous attacks on the Chinese economy (aka the 'trade war'):

or Huawei violated US and International trade laws.

Hmmm.

What’s more likely?

Go peddle your fake news somewhere where people will buy it.
