his wall street tax plan would only generate $240 billion per year.. half of what would be needed just to provide bare minimum free college education.

How can we all verify your statement?

via the link I already provided

240 Billion dollars per year would provide a huge boost in educafion for our children and also for retraining our workforce for the challenges facing them in the near future.

Nomad you ignorant weasel. Better to invest in our workforce, than enriching Wall Street

free education ( oh wait not so free anymore ) is not 'investing in the workforce.. "... taxing people is your only solution.. 1 percenter.. you called yourself Morally Reprehensible..

no I do not want them taxed more.. they should be equally taxed just like everyone else. I suggest a baseline 15% tax across the board.
nothing is free .. how is it free if it is being derived from a tax on the people..?

it's like seeing 2 exactly same design watches for sale online..
1 costs $24.95 with a $4.00 shipping fee
the other 1 is free, all you just have to pay the shipping/ handling fee..& when you go to get our "free watch".. there is a $4.00 shipping cost & a $24.95 handling fee...

the watch isn't free..
taxing people to maybe give them something 'free' is not giving it to them for free..

making people fiscally responsible is what moves this country forward.

There you go again with your tired argument of nothing is free.

I'm not the only American who is tired of Corporate Socialism and Corporate Welfare.

Give those poor rich folks a bigger slice of the economy.....

Get off your phone and leave your internet fantasy dreams and find a female dumb enough to let you mount her. If there's anyone who really needs a life outside of cyberspace it's you buddy.

people are allowed to earn .. to make profits.. to move forward in life. to be able to ensure their own prosperity...

so .. Bernie.. would it be ok for a corporation to impose a tax on the hourly wages of an employee in order to provide free medical coverage for everyone in the company.. or should the medical coverage of the employee be voluntary, and the employee pays for their own coverage.. ?

I did, unlike you fake burn. My statements are factual.

I even manage a few subtle jokes and THOSE went over your head. Wow, what a surprise, that you failed to get the jokes. We know who is the BUTT of those jokes.

I pointed out your fake facts and incorrect assumptions. All you do is allege my incorrect statements with no proof, other than silly, superfluous, profane, and banal diatribes. Keep on proving to all of us what a fool you are, fake burn. You are fake; that means you lie from the start. That says it all.

I want to be sure that this point is clear.

Duk and NomadP both have answered this matter about a "free lunch", but I want to make one additional point on this topic. The term "free lunch" is not talking JUST about lunch, but applies to many economic concepts and government programs. The term "free lunch" applies to all types of programs, including, but not limited to: free health care (for some in the USA and for all in some countries), free education, and in assistance to the poor (in its many forms, such as EBT benefits, public housing, unemployment benefits, and many more). This also applies to governments helping to build roads, bridges, libraries and providing mental health services.

So Goranz, when I speak of "free lunch" I am not talking JUS and only about a lunch or a meal. Ultimately, as others, including myself, have already stated, all such programs are paid for by someone, and in most situations, that person is the taxpayer (or future generations, if that money is borrowed). So there is no such thing as a free lunch, or free education, or free health care, and so forth.

To quote a wise man, the only things certain in life are death and taxes.

GoranZ wrote:

Why are you are mixing Lunch with Education? I was talking about Education, so leave the Lunch out of the conversation ;)

If you haven't see Free Education, it doesn't mean its does not exist.

Here how Europe looks like:

There is another think that you dont know about... Free Healthcare. Europe has it, even Canada has it, but not you. And I know its too much for your stomach so I wont brag a lot about it ;)

simply show proof of this concept of 'companies will be faced with reduced profits from not investing in education'… just let me know how a company will gain profits by spending money on education for the masses..

companies do not have to invest in education programs in order to 'hope' a person comes to work for them.. there are things called Apprenticeships... a company can simply offer Apprenticeships to candidates they want to come work for their company. give them a 2 year on the job education. ( which is far better then reading things from a book) and the Apprentice gets a feel for the work understands how to interact with how the company works and dealing with clientele and no one is not going to be required to pay off a debt.

if the Apprentice doesn't like the work. they can simply put in a 2 week notice and go Apprentice for another field of work... or stay in that field but go to a different company with experience

Hey Goranz, you want to know how to verify my statements? Have you ever heard of Google? It is a great website; you should check it out and then do a search and that will verify my statements. In fact, I challenge you to find a credible source (website) that will dispute most of what I post online here in this forum. You may find something, especially on the issues related to man-made Global Warming; however, as pointed out by others and by me, those opposing views have credibility issues.

Oh, and in my early response on the statement, there is no such thing as a free lunch, I cited and linked to a URL that will verify my definition and explanation of that statement. JUS to be clear, I already knew most of the information on that statement (I do admit that I was not aware of the origin of that statement.) And then I posted that same link in my 2nd response to your comment about free lunch does not mean free education. I guess you did not bother to use that link to verify my statement that time either.

And, do you know how I found that website. Goranz? I used Google. Again, try it and see what information can be verified and see what you have been missing.

Oh, and did you not read that my statement about no free lunch (or government services, such as education or health care) are not free? Read what was posted by Dukasaur and NomadPatriot. They both offer good explanations, perhaps better than mine.

So Goranz, to summarize, I offer you 3 ways to verify my statement: There is no such thing as a free lunch (or free education or free health care). For the person benefiting from that service, it may be free. But someone, usually the taxpayer, does PAY for that so-called "free" service.

Sort of like explaining a punch line on a failed joke that you told. Just move on or you just look silly.

JP.. try using Bing.. Google censors & filters their results to fit the 'Company Narrative' they want to push..
Bing gives exact results for what your looking for..
