I've been playing around with some maze programs. This one is Daedalus, programmed by a guy who is truly insane (he uses mazes as a form of tarot). However, the program itself is awesome.

To solve a recursive fractal maze, start at the negative sign. You move along the paths, any way you want. Each of the numbered rooms is the same as the main map, but smaller. So if you enter room 1 in the top right (purple), you enter the big map again in the top right (green). You need to get to the Positive Sign, in the same level of maze that you started. It's not as tough as it looks. HINT: Solve from both sides at once, and assume somewhat parsimony. So if you look at the positive terminal, there are 3 paths that go to it - 1 from the 2box and 2 from the 1box. The negative terminal leads to 3 options - 1 in the 3box and 2 in the 1box. You can write off the paths in the 2-box and the 3-box (because we are assuming parsimony). If you do this at every level it makes it possible.
