People identifying as 'European' on the rise

Between 1995 and 2015, the percentage of people identifying as 'European' has increased all across the EU. UK should not be counted for obvious reasons

The same survey also found that most people in the UK wanted to stay in the EU, so that survey was clearly a Brussels-backed piece of whitewashing propaganda that deliberately over-estimated people's support of the EU.

In reality most people hate the EUSSR and can't wait to leave. Even the propaganda linked above can't hide the fact that French and Italian people are also rapidly getting sick of the EU and the Greek people have never liked it anyway.

From what I looked at some countries cant stand being a member of the eu, like Greece, 71% oppose (cant blame them) to Luxembourg 80% like it, overall, it looks like 50% for and 50% against.

It will be interesting to see if it survives.

Well, EU popularity really is a unique issue. A few years ago the EU commission did a survey into whether or not people trust the EU. Apparently the EU truly wasn't popular in numerous member states. All in all not surprising considering this was a survey dating back to the middle of the migration crisis, if I remember correctly. But what was surprising was that in many of these member states trust in national governments was even lower.

So you have to take figures with a grain of salt. Countries like Italy have gone through bad economic times partially because of bad EU policies, and the people know it. They've grown more distrustful as a result of it. But because their own governments have provided decades of corruption, scandals and overall incompetence they still prefer the EU. For some member states preference for the EU is a matter of picking the lesser evil(at least in their eyes).
