Truly Ancient Games that still have player bases

Postby DoomYoshi on Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:38 pm

So Conquer Club is still trudging along 13 years later.

Other games still have active communities that you might be aware of like Everquest, Doom II and Super Street Fighter II.

I just got an email from this company telling me that there's a new patch for an old wargame... it requires Pentium II processor and Windows 95 in case you are wondering how old.

This reminds me I should go back to playing Age of Empires II.

I hear there's people still showing up for that Olympic farce after 2500 years.

Warcraft 2 is apparently still going and re-released on GOG for multiplayer. I loved that game. Created maps for it even, back in the day. Still occasionally quote from it.

The only thing that's stopping me from buying it is the fear that it won't match my nostalgia. That and the people who will obviously own me the moment I step on to a multiplayer game they've been playing for over a decade.
