ISRAEL: Netanyahu Indicted for Corruption

The Attorney-General of Israel has filed half-a-dozen criminal indictments against Benjamin Netanyahu who, it is alleged, took millions of dollars in bribes, committed fraud, lied, and used his office to do favors to news outlets who agreed to make him look good and provide him with positive coverage.

Israel has one of the world's most corrupt governments. Netanyahu's predecessor as PM, Ehud Olmert, was also jailed for accepting bribes and kickbacks. Recent president Katsav is currently jailed for being a serial rapist while president. Multiple recent Chief Rabbis are also in jail for taking bribes, and selling ordinations as rabbis for $10K each.
