A few years ago I had never heard of opioids. Then during the primaries Trump kept bringing it up. Within a few months everyone knew about the opioid epidemic. Interestingly, these days Trump talks less about opioids and more on AIDS.
I think most people know about AIDS. If not, it opens your body up to infections. It started likely in Africa. It came to the USA and caused panic when kids like Ryan White tried to go to school. The drug AZT then came out and most Americans thought the crises was over. The US might be on track to beat AIDS but likely it is still on the rise throughout the world.
I haven't heard any pushback from the Never Trumpers on this. Could this be an opportunity to refocus resources and stop this epodimic?
