Doesn't say anything about making soldiers gay, just making them temporarily irresistably attractive to one another (granted, as most armies are composed primarily of men, it would be something they might not be used to...)
Seems like the same effect could be had by parachuting prostitutes into army bases; the soldiers would (hypothetically) get too distracted to care about invading good guys, a la the Hessians at the Battle of Trenton (and come on, could that fail to be hilarious?)

i see no proof of that statement. weren't they just drunk, since they believed the storm would keep the "confused" americans away?
