doesn't killing a murderer make you just as bad as them?

Why pay to have a person in jail for 40 years, when you can kill them and save a lot of money. Surely keping them alive is just unnecessary (obviously depending on what they did).

So basically you are saying that money is more important than someone's life. Interesting.
And what happens when an innocent person is wrongfully sentenced to death? There's no appealing after you're dead. Personally, I think that death penalty is treating the symptoms and not the problem.

Exactly right. I faintly remember this study carried out by an American college of men and women on death row. They managed to prove 10 people innocent! Life is more important.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Notice the part that I bolded? Anyways, when it comes to a murderer, I believe that money is more important than someone who kills other people. And the innocent people who are sentenced to death? Maybe we should have stricter investigations into crimes which warrant the death penalty, leave no stone unturned, no loose ends. Anyways, why would we keep a killer alive? It's just a drain on the taxes, and they take up room in the prisons. It's a win-win situation if you ask me. And the family of the victim gets closure. What say you to that?

Edit: Hey chewyman, how about a link to that study?

Can't help sorry, I last read that study 3/4 years ago, it just really stuck to me. You might be able to find something similar if you do a google search.

I only believe in the death penalty for acts of terrorism and mass-murder. In these cases the evidence is normally overwhelming anyway, and if there going for the death penalty there gunna make sure that they will win which means that theres enough evidence to prove it.

I understand where your coming from but;
(warning extreme examples following)
So what your saying is that money is more important then people that kill people? Would that include Soldiers and Mercenaries(who kill for money)
ussually because money is considered more important then life? Now I know you'll argue that theres a difference, but its still an example of money being more important then life.

I agree prosecutions should be more solid.

however I like the idea of the family(victim) being the executioner.
(believe it was mentioned in capitol punishment topic)
