Taking Someone's Turns (When They Are Gone)

Postby fordhamflash on Fri Jul 14, 2006 1:26 pm

I've got a buddy who is leaving town for a few days (w/o computer access).

Is it cool for me to cover their turns for a few days? This would essentially make me a "temporary multi" but I want to help the guy out.

Perhaps the best way would be to post in each of the games and let everyone know?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

In one of his games, we are triples' teammates.

It might just for the sake of not being called cheater to have someone else take that turn... find some one willing to do it at that time send theam a pass that you installed after they take the turn change pass back :)

your othjer option is to post in the chat room and send the other players a pm to ask for permisssion, i cant imagine they will say no. you are being honest and up front. Especially with the new ruls and the way sequintoal games go.
Highborn and i have different views on this. but i think either one would work.

as long as everyone in your game is ok with your temporary multi, i don't think there would be a problem, and if there is just have someone else take the turn

I've been in two games recently where someone was going on vacation and asked everyone in the game if we would mind another CC member taking over his turns while he was gone...everyone was cool with it (in one game the replacement player ended up ruling the world!).

If this substitution is done once in a while, and you give everyone involved a heads-up and get no objections AND the person taking over for you is not involved in those games with his own account, I don't see a problem with it.

i have a buddy (dragonfly) who plays for me periodically. he killed a guy who I had a truce with, because he didn't look at the chat. That resulted in my negative feedback, and a warning to other players that I let other people play for me.

Make sure you inform your friend of the situation if you let him play for you. Tell him about truces etc. Because jackasses like delkins12 don't like people who let others play for them, even though they are just being polite by not missing turns.
