I think Korn goes into the Grungecore catagory with bands like The Deftones. Nu-Metal, I think, would apply more to bands like Disturbed, Puddle of Mud, et al.

Rap-Metal fusion is more Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.

faith was good, some of their other songs but as far as limp dick goes

I doubt that Disturbed is Nu-Metal, and I have a hard time putting Linkin Park, limp bizkit in the same category as
Hed Pe:

and introduce me to that girl with the bubble,
Yeah, momma dont trust me tonight
yeah momma gonna get freaky tonight."

"Everything" is good, most limp haters overlook it but it is a 16 minute chunk of non-screamo goodness at the end of their first album :D

yeah...I like system of a down but I'm not really sure what category they fall under...some people call them nu metal just because their singer has a talent to sing/yell really fast, but they hate that label. and I can't think of any other label more specific than just "heavy metal" :? ...

Uhm... I wouldn't mention metal and system of a down in the same sentence. Pop rock maybe? Not pop rock, but definately mainstream rock of some kind.

Yeah, im gonna have to agree with Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus.

A song that evryone should listen to by a metal group, although its not really a metal song, is "Bread Pants". Just try it, it'll grow on you :D

Iron Maiden was always Heavy Metal.....take it from someone who saw them in 1990.

If you want some good metal (heavy metal) tunes....

Helloween
Wolfsbane (Blaze Baileys old band)
Megadeth (technically Thrash metal)
Motorhead

uhh no...was that supposed to be a soad burn? maybe their newer music is leaning toward more mellow mainstream rock, but the real soad, the old soad that all the fans like, is definitely metal.

these are the first three songs of their second album, you don't have to listen to the whole thing, the first minute proves that soad is, or was, definitely a metal band.

I don't dislike soad, but I have a hard time classifying them as metal because of some of the musical/lyrical elements they choose to use. One minute of a metal riff doesn't mean they're metal.

well if you're not convinced, I never said you can't listen to the whole thing! and yes, they like to fluctuate with the music once in a while, but I still think its metal. And their lyrics perfectly fit in metal, (at least their old ones) I think every song in the first album is political, and politics fit perfectly in metal.
