Turkey is also one of the largest spenders within NATO (i.e. it's one of the only saps actually ensuring Europe is defended).

If countries such as Malta and Luxembourg are each given separate seats at the table despite having the populations of a large village then Turkey really ought to be given an immediate veto right over all important European decisions.
