TENTRY

Postby saxitoxin on Sun Mar 26, 2017 12:41 pm

Turkey, which is not a member of the European Union, is to have a referendum about not entering the EU in the first place.

"We have a referendum on April 16. After it, we may hold a Brexit-like referendum on the [EU] negotiations. No matter what our nation decides, we will obey it," Erdogan said.

What a stupid statement from a citizen of a failed state. Allah Akbar, Turkey has already entered the EU by migration. European single child families with touchy/feely progressive values are becoming a minority in europe. Thank mother MerKill.

Your failure to distinguish migration from union membership is astounding.

To be fair the higher end estimates of the number of Turks in Europe (see: Turks in Europe) make Turkey's presence within the EU greater than that of countries like Sweden or Austria. Turkey is also one of the largest spenders within NATO (i.e. it's one of the only saps actually ensuring Europe is defended).

If countries such as Malta and Luxembourg are each given separate seats at the table despite having the populations of a large village then Turkey really ought to be given an immediate veto right over all important European decisions.

For the same reasons the UK also ought to retain its EU seat even after it leaves the Union.

Malta is a very unique country. You should look into its history.

Iran - world's leading merkin supplier
Japan - world's leading consumer of "real" merkins.
