Really it supports my theory, that he is a figure head to distract us while things actually get done behind the scenes, though you can argue what they are doing is public and only happening because of him being in office.
Excuse me while I think the "2% Romanian defense budget increase" is not as critical to the impending "American economic recovery" the banks are going to cause, as they would like me to believe.
why would i hate people who speak english and/or have more money than me?
Fear. Which was not only misplaced. I don't even have money. My wife might.
i think we're a approaching a moment in the history of our human civilization in which we will have the opportunity to master the resources and the production of energy, allowing everyone in the whole earth to have a decent life. it's up to us to decide if we're gonna take the opportunity or we're going to keep living under this stupid system of wars and hatred and fear. there are talks more of universal income because some are seeing that it will be a necessity when robots start to do all the work.
but if we continue with this stupid racism and hatred and war of religions, we will never get there. i don't see why we need to be like that.
I agree, in fact I believe we could have easily done such a thing back after ww II.
The elites would not have it. The United States was made great while much of the world watched.
Also they were a peaceful nation, even for a period after that war, being late to join and helping to defeat the "bad guys." Now, there are a lot of people hating them for going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. No one is upset with the former USSR for helping start Afghanistan.
Back to the internal us racism problem, look at the last couple of centuries. Lincoln may have freed the slaves. There was still some pretty nasty treatment of African Americans for a long time. Things got better but very slowly.
Sure there were decent people all along but in the first half of the 1900s the laws supported dehumanizing people over skin colour.
The laws!Think about that. In many parts of the United States of America. Arguably the best place in the world to live in in 1920. I could get in serious trouble for welcoming Owenshooter* into a rastaurant I ran owned by Saxi, and serving him a meal. That is unimaginable to me being fourtunate to live in the time and place I have, yet it is simply a fact.
Every decade things improved little by little until the 1990s when it actually, finally but briefly became cool to be yourself. Mixed racial company was ok for several years. Under the surface the divisions were still there.
Now there is a new division. Finally Kanye is taking over the world and it's popular to make a young light coloured person feel guilty, because their great grand parents may or may not have been an asshole, when all the racist "whites only" "no blacks" laws made the terms black and white. Replacing the truth that we are all shades in between.
*The actual human behind that CC persona.
this is getting weird. it seems to me as if there are many getting upset about what i've been saying. i need to know if i'm expressing myself incorrectly or what's the matter. because it seems very obvious to me.
the "racism" part is what people seem to be more upset, if i'm not mistaken, or maybe the trump stuff.
i've always considered that racism is a problem that is slowly going away, with new generations that grow up playing with kids of different races. and i know there's still a large amount of people that is racist but doesn't matter, they will turn to dust and hopefully their kids aren't much damaged.
but mostly because prestige imitation moves you in that direction, when in the background there's a voice that say racism is bad, let's all get along. but if you change that for a voice like trumps.. what's real any more? you can be bigoted, you can be racist, you can be a bully, you get to be president anyway. or is this in doubt yet? are we past this point or not? are we still deciding if trump is all those things?
now, i haven't been in the US in a while, but then you tell me, didn't ~60 million people vote for trump? 50% of voters did. now, you can take a optimistically large percentage of those who voted not necessarily for trump, but against hillary, let's make it a 20%. still there's still a lot of people who voted for trump. and who are these people? am i wrong to assume that what i see in tv is what these guys are? now, if you tell me these are actors.. that i've been mislead, fine. i'll take that back.
but it turns out that since the trump shit started, people have directed at me the most curious comments in GC for being mexican, this has happened 5-6 times. and i'm talking of trump supporters. now i don't mind, if i did i would have reported. in fact i have fun with those comments and idiots. I want to make clear this is not like the comments i get here, which are all fun and which i encourage. these are comments that are coming to surface because these guys feel so brave now, they feel the discuorse going to their veins, it's all right! america will be great again!... heil hitler?
i don't see why you guys need a president like trump. i don't know politics, i might don't know the US, but trump is not a good guy. anyone that is capable of that divide, is not a good guy.
we were laughing of owen right, because he saw racism everywhere.. we discussed it. and now, is like the 4th time one of you guys quietly put me there. obviously it bothers me, and makes me think.. am i wrong? i understand the reasons why we were laughing before.. but am i wrong in this? i don't think so, racism still existed but everything was fine because the general direction was that racism was not ok, so, those who can't help it were just simply die eventually right? i'm not so sure anymore.
i never claim to know more than anyone, i just see what i see. i think this all "relax, trump is just there to fill the seat, he's of no importance" is the rationalization coming after the will.
