President Trump was busy working the phones today.

He started by calling Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and threatening to invade Mexico.

"You have a bunch of bad hombres down there. I think your military is scared. Our military isn’t, so I just might send them down to take care of it."

He then called Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull, yelled at him for a bit, told him it was the worst conversation he'd ever had, and then hung up the phone.

Kidding aside, it's worse everyday with your president. This is pretty much abuse of power, a power those who helped accomplish it would be rolling in the grave if they saw him do this. I think I've said this before in the PL or maybe here, this kind of behaviour makes me sick, literally sick in my stomach, persons that use their position of power (particularly in government) to abuse and offend and humiliate. He doesn't need to be a bully to exert the power he has as Potus. He's a despicable person.

Maybe we need a global economic downturn and maybe a bit of a nuclear crisis right? Some Americans seem a bit bored with their rut, i mean, really, who doesn't get bored of 9 to 5pm, trying to decide between 2% or 1% milk.. macchiato or latte? and the worst is trying to decide what to watch on Netflix from 8pm to 11pm.

Turnball is weak and second rate, in the mould of Australia's most recent prime ministers. Years ago, it was said of one of the better kiwi prime ministers. The quality of the Australian political leader has slumped since the days of Hawke, an official world champion at beer sculling. Hmmm... well if a whole new trade war is coming Australia's choice is clear. They already do 3x as much trade with China as they do with the USA. And that doesn't even factor in all the other Asian countries surrounding it that would probably likely choose China over the USA. I guess they will have to buy the exact same products just without the little apple symbol on them directly from China for half the cost in the future...

The Japanese government has pledged to invest hundreds of billions of dollars into U.S. infrastructure development as a tribute payment to President Trump. The protection money will allow Japan to avoid Australian / Mexican - type punishments by the U.S.

Japan is putting together a package it says would generate 700,000 U.S. jobs and help create a $450-billion market to present to President Donald Trump next week, government sources familiar with the plans said.

The plans, to be unveiled when Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visits Trump on Feb. 10 in Washington, envisage investments in infrastructure projects such as high-speed trains and cybersecurity, said the sources, who declined to be identified as they are not authorized to speak to the media.

Investing in overseas infrastructure projects dovetails with a key plank in Abe's growth strategy, which is to export "high-quality" infrastructure technology.

The government may tap its foreign exchange reserves account to fund the package, the sources said.
