And if you are some sort of office lady that can't do it. (Saxitoxin) Buy a few cans of gas or better yet BBQ starting fluid since it won't start your entire neighborhood on fire as easily. Buy a couple of cords of wood and keep it dry. Build/buy or have a proper fire pit built for you, about ten or more feet away from any sheds or buildings. Preferably with gravel or concrete around it. With a grill and tripod if you want to get fancy. Google image search will fetch you some pictures.
Conversely you could get a old BBQ or even a disposable habachi, even an old metal bucket or coffee can in a pinch. They even sell self lighting charcoal brickets, they have accelerant in them, keep the bag dry and don't open it until you need to light it.
Buy a giant bag of rice and keep it dry too, all steel or cast iron pot with loose fitting lid, two cups of water plus one cup of rice. Boil until it steams soft enough to eat. A bottle of soy sauce if you want for flavour.
