Yom Kippur Plans?

Postby DoomYoshi on Tue Oct 11, 2016 8:36 pm

Just kidding, it's NHL 2016-17 Opening Night. This is the last day of the year I can say that the Leafs haven't suffered any losses yet this year. MNM is set to set the Toronto media on fire though (Matthews, Nylander, Marner). I've moved all my belt previews to reddit which has a far worse presentation but then people other than Serbia actually read them.

Here's a cool picture I found. It's Terry Sawchuk, goalie of the Red Wings (#1 retired banner). As you can tell, masks weren't a thing back then:

Damn it, link to the reddit.
Also, my Dad shared that picture of Sawchuck on facebook about 35 minutes ago. Are you my father??

I'm not your father. I'm coming to Detroit this year though. It will probably be a short notice "hey, I've got a day off and the belt game is at Joe Louis" kind of thing.

Well if you're going to do it, should do it this year. This is the final year for hockey at The Joe. And if you message me, I might even be able to meet up for a beer, or suggest a bar downtown at the least.

That's the main reason. I'll probably come check out the new Little Caesar's Palace one day too.

I've already been to a preseason game this year. My sister wants to take her son to his first hockey game this year too. (he's 6) She's insisting that my wife and I go with the 3 of them, since I'm the hockey fan, and the kid loves everything I do. I think she feels he'll enjoy it more if I'm there. And as far as I'm concerned, any excuse to go to a hockey game is a good one.
