What should replace the Star-Spangled Banner?

The SSB has only been the national anthem since 1931, which previously used national anthem should replace it?

I don't care about the lyrics in the third stanza because they're never used, but the SSB is just a terrible song. It's impossible to sing well because of the strange chord changes and the lyrics are too fixed to a moment in time and are not abstract enough. Plus the melody wasn't even written by an American which is just ridiculous to have a national anthem composed by someone who wasn't a national.

GBA is too slow and dandy. Hail Columbia has already been re-appropriated for the Vice-President's Entrance March and the lyrics are all about George Washington. The best option, IMO, is Columbia the Gem of the Ocean.

I could get behind Dixieland, but it's not really a good choice. Southerners can have an appreciation for the tune but it won't resonate too well for the rest of the country. Ya gotta live in Dixie to understand how great Dixie is.

Besides, the new national anthem needs to have the same antagonists as the SSB. The dirty, filthy British. I agree with Sax that the SSB is a clunky song (at best) so I propose Johnny Horton's song "Battle of New Orleans". We have the same antagonists that the country can get behind kicking the snot out of (the dirty, filthy British of course) with a nice catchy tune that is not only amusing but also patriotic because the song sings about kicking the shit out of the dirty, filthy British.
