Religion is taught in private schools where I'm from.

And yes, the teacher made a stupidly erroneous decision to show that movie to 12 year olds, but was it worth a civil suit?! Definitely not. Some American's (and I'm disgusted to say it's starting to happen in Australia too! ) are too interested in making a quick buck and suing everyone for everything they can possibly imagine. Take accountability for your own life and MOVE ON!

As I said before, god was for (or not strictly against) slavery, but for the last 200 or so years, every major religion has been putting as much distance between itself and the very idea that it supported slavery as is possible.
