Unfortunately that isn't quite true yet.

But yeah, if they work out the kinks those things might really change society.

I know the industrial ones are better. Imagine all the jobs lost.

And the ones created, and the labor which was freed up, and the cost-savings from cheaper forms of production, and yerga yerag yerga.

ONWARDS TOWARDS UTOPIA!

Imagine those, with interchangeable print heads. There would be ones available for things ranging from printing frosting on your cake to putting certain metals down so that you can print circuits to printing live cells for creating organs.

Also, using some kind of plastic with a lowish melt temp but a highish burn temp so that you can keep reusing your old shit and make new shit.

Hey, imagine a village which uses those printers. Anything you need, you don't need to ship in, you just print that baby up--(except the printer heads and a few raw materials for them).

That'll change the infrastructure of the world, dude. The WORLD. It's freakin' awesome. [/geeking out]

Imagine the entire contents of the planetary datalinks, the sum total of human knowledge, blasted into the Planetmind's fragile neural network with the full force of every reactor on the planet. That is our last-ditch attempt to win humanity a reprieve from extinction at the hands of an awakened alien god.

Grit is not banned in soap. Micro-beads are banned in some places, and rightfully so.

I am curious, can you explain why? It seems an extreme statement given no research has actually been undertaken on the subject.

I believe the state of California banned micro-beads in toothpaste and such.

Ocean researchers have been finding tiny (almost microscopic) plastic beads in the oceans for quite awhile. At first they had no idea where they were coming from and it was quite a mystery. Turns out some large corporations have been putting them in product as filler to get a better return to investors and increase their bottom line. They are being found all over the world. They interfere with a great deal of water dwelling animals and are becoming quite a problem.

I googled them after the above posts. Here are some links:

Well you never fuckin' asked that, did you?

You simply stated that no research has been done. Do you have google in the UK, no?, well perhaps soon.

Ginkypoo, if you think vast quantities of near micro-scopic plastics in the environment are harmless, well then you are a special kind of stupid.
