If the 10 Plagues of Egypt were related to the Modern Day

Postby rishaed on Fri Jul 15, 2016 2:45 am

So I decided to think about how the 10 plagues that affected Egypt back in the book of Exodus not only destroyed their economy but also the land.
Now shockingly I came to some slight conclusions:
Here are the 10 signs/plagues that affected Egypt:
1.Waters turned into blood: The important part about this one is that the people could not drink the water.
2. Frogs upon the land: All of the consequences of having mass frogs is unknown, but would have in part destroyed the ecobalance of the land/economy.
3. Lice : Destroyed Possessions. Can't keep beds with lice in them after all.
4. Flies: Destroyed Food.
5.Disease on the Cattle: Obvious Livestock
6.Boils: Diseases upon the human bodies. Modern day parellels could be things like SARS, HIV, Cancer, ect.
7.Hail of Ice and Fire: Partial Destruction of crops.
8. Locusts: Complete destruction of crops.
9.Darkness: This one I actually don't know how it would look like as a modern day judgement. But instead of Physical i could see it being done as a mental/psychological/spiritual darkness/blindness.
10. Children: The destruction of the next generation. Population destruction in essence.

Ironically I can think of a country where most of these have happened in the last 50 years.
For instance: Over 80% of the Water in China is undrinkable/unusable. The land/air is being destroyed through the massive pollution. I have heard of Plagues of Locusts caused by killing sparrows, and giant gerbils devastating crops. There have been mass outbreaks of SARS, HIV, and other diseases stemming from China. There have been mysterious amounts of dead animals washing up in drinking water such as 10k pigs in Shanghai. The one Child policy has not only devastated and caused forced sterilizations of Chinese women, but also mass killing of babies through forced abortions. There have been scandals with infected milk and foods, and these are just the things the Government hasn't been able to cover up.
Shockingly, If the effects of the plagues are looked at it almost seems like in modern day circumstances China is being afflicted with them.
But if you had to wonder about why most of these things came about you wouldn't blame the Chinese people, but rather the CCP who though atheist are trying to play God over their people by controlling every aspect of their lives.

First of all, all of the plagues are logical consequences of the previous plagues. This leaves us with the first plague. Honestly, this is no real biggie. You never heard of a red tide? Algal blooms can get so thick as to turn water red. This also eliminates all the oxygen in the water ... which causes frogs to leave the oxygen depleated waters (they breathe both through their skins and with their lungs) and the progression begins.

Well..... I think you slightly missed the point. I wasn't relating the plagues in a direct fashion. I was looking at how they directly affected the population/country that they were inflicted upon. Then thinking about any countries that those things have happened to in recent history.

Also Mrswdk get. Can i trade her for a Shiny Ralz anyone?

Why do people blindly stab around in the dark instead of asking?

In a Supreme Court decision, it was ruled that you don't even have to respond to the original post or original poster to be caught in a trap.
