Durant to the Warriors. Thoughts?

Postby UCAbears on Mon Jul 04, 2016 12:11 pm

How dare Stephen A. sit there and say it's the worst thing he's ever seen a superstar do in free agency. It was absolutely the smartest move he could have made! He's been with the Thunder since before they were the Thunder and couldn't pull out a championship, so he wanted to try something new and out of his comfort zone. So what? Yeah, they were up 3-1 on GS in the conference finals this year, but they didn't advance and KD still didn't get that ring that EVERYONE wants. He has the best chance of becoming an NBA champion with Golden State without a doubt. But, not only that, but he's making mega bucks in the process. $54million for 2 years with a player option on year 2 and you don't respect his for taking that? Oh, and the salary cap raises AGAIN next year, so when he does get a max deal somewhere, that $150 million that the never-before-seen-in-an-All-Star-game Michael Conley got that made history is going to look small. Also, Lebron left a much worse supporting cast to go to Miami, but people are trying to kill KD in the name of justice for Lebron's TELEVISED decision. Durant's attitude and humbleness on and off the court should tie in to how they view his decision to add an NBA championship to his long list of accolades. Smart move imo.

Words and phrases I don't understand in this post:

Stephen A.
Free agency
The Thunder
KD
"That ring that everyone wants"
Player option
"Lebron's TELEVISED decision"
Golden State
Year 2

Is this about basketball?

Bingo. Sorry I didn't post anything political or conspiracy related. Must be weird.

I wasn't sure who The Warriors were but it was in the back of my head that I should know this.

A bit of help from Google and I regained my memory:
