I kinda like the peace in the streets here during the Euro-games, so I guess I'm becoming an old man. The extremely bright orange spread over an entire country gets to you, though, I tell ya.
Anyway, the terrible playing Dutch from the qualifiers would've fitted in perfectly with the rest of the crowd this Euros. So far the only team that really brought something to the game that I like, was Italy. The maturity, charisma... I like it. The other top countries in my opinion have shown no such thing (France, Belgium, Germany, Spain). An occasional moment, sure. But if you consider that the players from these teams are capable of high level stuff, I can only conclude most of them are underachieving.
France won twice, yes. Spain just played a good game, sure. Belgium won fair and square, okay. But I don't see any convincing evidence of the outcome of this tournament. That's a good thing, though. With the WC 2014 there were a few favourites, who ultimately came down to Brazil, Germany and Argentina (and for some Holland was as well, but these people were mainly Dutch ^^). These three were in the semi-finals and the best of them won.
Euros 2016 might have a very uncertain winner, because so far every good team has sucked and played well and every lower estimated has achieved great scores and sucked in the other game.
I'm watching from a neutral position for the first time, so I find it highly amusing!

He usually stuns when he gets under so much pressure. He reached the point that brings the best out of him, and that's my concern now. I would not be surprised if he performed very well against Hungary and got overpraised again
