I'm positive that you can love an 'unbiological' kid just as much as you could love your biological kid. Nonetheless, I gotta say it's pretty hard to imagine this scenario whilst having a 1-year old looking exactly like me. Sure, that'll pass and she'll grow her own features, but it does add to the fun. Gotta admit that!
You won't miss it when it was never there, I guess. If you raise a kid, and the kid calls him/herself your kid (and you consent), then it's your kid. Simple as that.
