I have had guns most of my life. They have never been shot at a person. The have only been shot at innocent animals that have ended up in my freezer. (For those who are upset about that, your ancestors did it too!) The left wing media as well as the left wing have already called for more gun laws in the wake of the shootings in Orlando.
I haven't heard from them what they would actually do to prevent gun violence except to have more strict gun laws. What does that mean? The laws that we have in place now don't work (as evidenced today.) I have heard of taking away the gun show loophole, but the last few gun tragedies haven't been the effect of a gun show gun, have they? Today's guns were bought legally.
Then there is the argument that lets get rid of guns all together. I propose to you that those with guns that kill go after people they are not scared of, those WITHOUT guns. If one or two people in that club would have had a gun, there wouldn't be that many who lost their life. Another aspect is that if all guns were taken, then killers would still fine ways to kill.
Guns are NOT the problem. Crazy people, extremist, and scorn lovers are the problems. 99% of gun owners are law biding, great Americans who possess a gun for protection and for recreational use. The will only use the gun on a human if they are threatened.
Let's stop the rhetoric! Let's get to the real problem. Let's find a solution to the problem in the Middle East and to those that are mentally unstable.
