wow....I joined CC in November 2006, and I remember there was 28000 members then.....it looks like we're going to hit 100,000 this weekend....well done Lack, and all the Mods, and all the members as well......now lets all reach back and pat our backs.....and then may the mayhem continue.

I think Iv witnessed about 60 of them personally die in my games.

But I joined way back when there you felt like you knew most of everyone by name.

Or thats how I felt.

There were around 8,000 when I joined.

Ah I see you are correct. I never really looked at the memberlist on this site until tonight and now I've used it twice.

It's kind of funny, if you look at the oldest members who have a few hundred posts, they were all mods.

Moz, scarus, twill. Then max is number 4, but since scarus and twill aren't around he's the second oldest really active poster. Cool info.

EDIT: Other really notable long time members in order: Zawbanjito, kingwaffles, Tr0y, Pedronicus, wicked, wacicha, jaydog.

Also thegrimsleeper, Nobunaga, freakshow were all early cartographers. And each of these people joined within the first month.

Here's what I gathered for any jobs and roughly when they were first appointed

Mods: Wicked (July 06), moz978 (June 06), Scarus (Aug-Nov 06), AK_iceman

Community Manager: Twill(May-Oct 06), AndyDufresne (Oct 06)

Tournament Director: HighBorn (Aug-Nov 06) , AK (Sept 06), Hugh.G.Rection (Dec 06)

Multi Hunters: Myself, Fireside Poet, Master Bush ( all Nov 06)

Foundry Foreman: Andy (May 06)

Cartography Assisstant: Jota (?), KEYOGI (April 07)

Shop Keeper: WidowMakers (April 07)

There have been a few other advisors and helpers along the way, including Tr0y, trashknob, evster, and mr.dexter. They all deserve recognition as well for their help with the site.

And of course: Captain of the ship: lackattack

If I forgot anyone, please point it out!
