Name one instance, with a reputable source, where an Iranian woman has been stoned to death for being raped.

The CO of the U.S. flotilla has apologized for violating Iranian territorial integrity and praised Iranian treatment as "fantastic!" - the officer went on to thank Iran for its "hospitality and assistance."

Why didn't the American's just find an abandoned oil derrick and dredge a few megatons of sand from the ocean floor to cover it with, creating sovereign territory?

Re: U.S. Frees its Iranian Hostages

Great news, the U.S. is releasing its Iranian hostages. I'm sure their families are looking forward to being reunited.

The Iranians, six of whom are dual U.S.-Iranian citizens, were imprisoned or were pending trial in the United States. The U.S. government dismissed charges against 14 other Iranians, all outside the United States, after assessing that extradition requests were unlikely to be successful, according to a U.S. official.

Since news broke that USA is freeing Iranian hostages, now we find more good news - the Americans have agreed to pay money they owe the Iranian government as a result of illegal U.S. acts.

The U.S. State Department announced the government had agreed to pay Iran $1.7 billion to settle a case related to the sale of military equipment prior to the Iranian revolution, according to a statement issued on Sunday. The settlement comes as the U.S. is unfreezing a much larger pool of Iranian assets, estimated at between $100-$150 billion, as part of the nuclear deal.

To be clear, America and the EU are releasing Iranian assets that were frozen, due to Iran's nasty habit of breaking International norms.

Now that Iran is playing ball, we can now lift our boot off of Iran's neck.

Incorrect.

The U.S. is paying Iran $1.7 billion to settle a lawsuit Iran had brought against the U.S. - the penalty against the U.S. is $400 million it withheld from the Government of the Islamic Republic in 1979, plus $1.3 billion in accumulated interest. To put that in perspective, to come up with that money the U.S. will have to cut more than half of the National Park Service budget next year (which is $3 billion).

Separately, $150 billion of frozen Iranian assets in the U.S. will be unlocked ... and immediately yanked out of American markets by the Government of the Islamic Republic and reinvested in states that aren't likely to freeze them in the future (which isn't that great for American pension funds at a time when the markets are in free-fall).

The amount of financial hardship the U.S. is about to suffer will be very real and will be directly felt by many people. This is suffering that would have been avoidable had a handful of politicians not been getting their palms greased by Israeli PACs for the last 20 years to impose these sanctions on Iran. (Iran would certainly prefer to keep its billions invested in the U.S. which offers a better rate of return than Brazil or Russia, but not at the risk of periodically having it frozen.) Next time you see a homeless family in America, remember: it's Israel's fault.

This ain't coming out of the pockets of American or EU pockets. They are releasing Iranian assets that were frozen. You are sounding a lot like Trump now.

Jesus, how thick are you? AGAIN - the U.S. taxpayers are paying $1.7 billion to settle a lawsuit Iran brought against the U.S. for non-delivery of military equipment it had purchased in 1979 ($400 million for four Kidd-class destroyers that the U.S. failed to deliver and $1.3 billion in breach of contract penalties).

This is an E-N-T-I-R-E-L-Y | S-E-P-E-R-A-T-E issue from the $150 billion in frozen Iranian assets that are being released.

Do you understand how lawsuits work?

The average cost of building a high school in the U.S. is $40 million. Because of U.S. politicians getting their palms greased by Israel to engage in reckless foreign policy, the U.S. is now having to pay $1.7 billion in legal damages to Iran straight out of the U.S. Treasury. That means 42 new high schools, serving 50,000+ students, won't be built in the U.S. next year.

The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is like the relationship between a meek, cuckold man (U.S.) and his 300-pound beast wife who beats him, runs up massive credit card debt, sleeps around, crashes the car into the neighbors fence, and sits at home all day watching soap operas and eating ice cream straight out of the carton.

This money is NOT coming out of the taxpayer's pocket kiddo.

We are returning the money and the interest accrued during that time.

WTF does this have to do with our public school systems and Israel?

The U.S. was never a party to the transaction and never received any money it can "return" - Northrop Grumman built the ships and sold them to Taiwan after the U.S. nixed the deal with Iran. U.S. taxpayers are paying $1.7 billion to settle a lawsuit brought by Iran. That's $1.7 billion chopped off the FY2016 federal budget.

Anyway, I'm not going to argue basic facts, like the color of the sky, with you. Believe whatever you like.
